Introduction to Facilities Management for Project Managers in the Built Environment
Contents |
[edit] Summary
This Technical Information Sheet was written to inform project managers in the built environment, about the facilities management function.
It describes the basics of the facility manager role and describes nine key competencies that they have; we then highlight how the role of the project manager can interact so as to identify and highlight areas in which they can work collaboratively and achieve greater success.
We also summarise what is on the horizon for facilities management, from a sustainability and technology point of view.
It will be of interest to those wanting update their knowledge about the role of the facilities manager or who want to lead and guide change collaboratively in the built environment.
